Several weeks ago, my assistant was having some “beach therapy”, which is her idea of sitting in the sun, watching the amazing Atlantic Ocean, and clearing her mind.  While she was thinking about T.A. Williams & Associates, and how we can reach thousands more people than what we have already reached, she had an epiphany.  It was an idea that she could not wait to ponder on, roll around in her mind, and figure out how she was going to put it into words.

Words….that is the basis of her epiphany.

Have you ever watched the ocean?  I mean “really” watched the ocean.  Have you ever noticed the raw power of the ocean?  As the waves come crashing in churning up the sand underneath, the energy, and the power it displays, well is unwavering.  Even on a peaceful day when the wind is not blowing, the ever moving current is still hard at work underneath the ocean’s surface.  There is always power, and energy, coming from the ocean.

As she sat marveling at the ocean’s power a few weeks ago, she realized, as magnificent and majestic as the ocean is, our words, are every bit as powerful, can be as magnificent and majestic, and our words hold tremendous energy.  Our words hold the power to build up, and our words have the power to tear down.

As a former Harlem Globetrotter, now turned motivational and transformational speaker and business coach, I certainly realize the power of words.  When I speak to my audiences, I attempt to do so much more than just to motivate, I TRANSPIRE lives and people’s way of thinking.  I do this my using mere words.  Words hold power, and as a motivational/transformational speaker, I utilize my God-given talent of speaking, to inspire my audiences to challenge themselves, and to be all they can be, to be the best they can be, and to use their own words to build up others and make a difference in this world.

So, just as the Ocean has waves and waves of unrelenting power, so do the words we speak.  Remember when speaking, you are an abyss of power, with the potential to be majestic and magnificent.  Harness that power, and use it wisely.  It’s a precious commodity.  Don’t abuse it.

Tracy A. Williams, former Harlem Globetrotter, nationally acclaimed motivational / transformational speaker, and television personality (Bruce on the WB Television series "One Tree Hill"), Tracy has risen to national prominence by delivering a high energy message which tells people how to shake mediocrity and live up to their greatness.  It is a message Tracy A. Williams learned from his own life and one he is helping others apply to their lives.
